Long long-awaited series Agatha season 1 was released on Hotstar a few days back. The show is now streaming on Hotstar in Hindi and multiple versions. We are going to cover the Episode-wise recap of the show and here goes the Episode 1 recap and Explanation of the show.
The first episode episode of Agatha All Along is set 3 years after the events of the w division. Agatha Harkness finds herself trapped within a detective show inside her own mind titled Agnes of Westview parodying the detective genre. Agatha investigates the murder of a woman who resembles Wanda Maximoff all while experiencing flashes of recognition and confusion that hinted her true identity as she delves deeper into the case.
Agatha gets to see familiar faces from West view including herb John as her partner Phil Harold as the police chief. Dy Sarah is the librarian and we also get to see Nor Melash working in a pawn shop through her investigation. Agatha gradually pieces together her own history and find out clues that lead her to a fire-torched library. In Eastern Europe all while struggling to maintain her Agnes facade in the Agatha all along episode.
Two new characters Rio Vial and Teen are introduced, Rio tries to coax the real Agatha out of her. Agnes Shell challenges her with suggestive remarks and Agatha encounters a mysterious goth teenager, a teen who breaks into her house and mutters an incantation in an unknown language. Despite Rio’s warnings, Agatha interrogates the teen violently however, it is revealed that the gruesome crime scene pictures are actually flowers and the one-way mirror is just a painting.
Agatha discovers the names W Maximoff and Aarness on Library checkout cards which breaks her spell and causes her to shed the different deck of clothes she wore in W division Agatha wakes up at her house powerless Herb informs her about her actions during the past 3 years revealing a less lucid and more aggressive side of her Agatha expresses anger calling West View, A place where hope dies. She discovers that Wanda has left her with only household appliances and senior Scratchy in her basement after hearing a thumping in her closet.
She finds the goth teen from the night before that arrest was a kidnapping a pair her realisation. If Teen wasn’t a dream then Rio wasn’t either Rio then bursts in demolishing much of Agatha’s house she wants blood and stabs Agatha but she’s tough and holds her own despite being overpowered this incredibly homoerotic battle sequence reveals several fascinating details. Rio’s evil heartbeats for Agatha who concealed behind dark magic for years and can’t be killed since she’s not allowed to see these two together will be toxic fun.
Rio is convinced by Agatha to let her regain power before killing her again she likes Agatha’s power and killing her in this state is unworthy this may be true but Rio reminds her that the Salem 7even the hungriest are hunting her at sundown the pilot episode of Agatha all along is entertaining with clever writing and Easter eggs but it feels unnecessary the sitcom satire which worked well in W division due to its natural progression may not have the same payoff in a detective show dedicating a significant portion of the pilot to this fake world seems like a pacing issue it might appeal more to those less familiar with Agatha’s character and W division events providing mystery and Surprise.
