Joker: Folie à Deux First Weekend box Office Collection
The poor reviews and word of mouth are affecting the film badly and the box office numbers are a live example that the film didn’t go as planned. There were expectations that the film would cross the 55 Million Dollar mark at the box office but it failed badly. The weekend is over and here we are with the box office update of the film.
The total worldwide collection of the film now stands at around 121 Million dollars and the film has collected around 40 Million dollars at the Domestic USA Box office. The total international number is around 81 Million dollars and this sums up the weekend for the much-awaited film Joker: Folie à Deux.
Trade experts were expecting massive numbers at the Global Box office for the film but the preopening and reviews of critics and audiences affected the film badly and the film failed to gain any momentum even on Sunday from here on, the box office collections are going to decline further.
The film was released in the USA In around 4.1k theatres 40 Million dollars in the USA. The Friday collection was around 26 Million dollars, followed by 11.4 Million dollars on day 2 and only 8 Million dollars on Day 3 even on Sunday.
The film opened with 8 Million dollars in the UK and around 7 Million dollars in Germany followed by 5.60 Million dollars in Italy and 5 Million dollars in France. The film also collected around 5.50 Million dollars in Mexico and 4.70 Million dollars in Brazil making it the second highest in Latin America.
The Asian regions were big shockers for the film as the film was a disaster in India and other Hindi belts. The biggest reason behind this was the non-availability of dubbed versions at many centres. The film collected around 3.70 Million dollars from the South Korean box office and 3.10 Million dollars from Australia which was highest and way bigger than the other Asian Box office numbers combined.
Arab Countries like UAE and Saudi Arabia were also not up to the mark as expected and the film collected only 1.70 million dollars from Saudi and 1.60 Million dollars from UAE. The screen count of the film is also reduced from Monday and now it would almost be difficult for the film to recover from here.
Let’s hope that the film does well in the coming days at the box office and brings smiles to the faces of producers. This year has ben terrible for the box office with biggies failing to attract audiences on the big screens. Now all eyes are on the December releases which are the last hope for box office numbers this Year.
