Who was Becky? Was she real? Or is Episode 2 of Unsolved Mysteries Vol 5 is the wort?
The second episode, ‘My Paranormal Partner’ of Unsolved Mysteries Volume 5, covers the story of a Paranormal researcher named Don who was always accompanied by a paranormal entity named Becky. When a parapsychologist observes their work, he can’t believe his eyes and leaves everyone stunned.
The story of this episode takes place in Leicester, United Kingdom in August 2011 when Don contacted Steve Mera, the founder of The Scientific Establishment of Parapsychology to provide evidence to prove his abilities.
Who is Becky?
Don claims that he can communicate with spirits and can feel their energy. While doing his job, he went to Gaynor’s house where met a spirit named Becky who helped him to solve other cases of his. The person who stayed in that house, Gaynor Issitt claims that there is a spirit haunting that place. Becky told Don that she was a 35 years old school teacher and had 2 kids. She died in a train or plain crash in 1985.
To examine this, Steve went to Gaynor’s house where Becky met Don and when he heard her voice himself through the digital recorders, he was shocked. He then conducted a test to get more evidence on her and asked Don to tell what picture was inside the three envelopes kept in front of him and with the help of Becky, he told them correctly.
Can Don talk to spirits?
Steve has never witnessed something like this before. It was a text Don was supposed to fail but he pulled out something which is next to impossible. Then to test Don’s ability and his connection with Becky, Steve took him to another location in March 2015. Cannock Chase, a place in Staffordshire in the UK and after going there with all his equipment, he proved his abilities and connection with Becky again. This place was a cemetery and was known for its paranormal activities. Don directed Steve and others directly towards a tree in the dark where he felt strong energy was coming from. Upon reaching at the spot, they discovered that it was the only tree in the entire region which was decorated with flowers and other glittery stuffs. Later, upon researching further, he revealed that there has been many mis happening which happened near the tree.
Now, Steve was totally amused by Don’s abilities and wanted to test him more. In May 2015, he took him to Tutbury Castle, a place well known for its paranormal activities and has a long history of its own. Don felt a strong energy there, also shows body changes like sudden excessive sweating as if he is going to have an heart attack. But he assured Steve and the rest that he is ok and he has experienced such emotions even before. He then revealed the history of that place with the help of Becky.
Who is Barry Fitzgerald?
Then, Steve wanted to have another expert in the team who could witness the evidence he is witnessing while working with Don. He then talks to Barry Fitzgerald, an author and Paranormal Investigator based in the west of Ireland. He is doing this from over 35 years and has travelled over 53 countries helping people with such phenomena. Steve, explains Barry about the things he has been experiencing while working with Don. Barry then asks Steve to come to Ireland along with Don, as it’s a new place for both of them so Don’s ability could be examined clearly.
In 2017, Don and Steve went to Ireland for the very first time. They all visited a place named Lisheen House. Despite going their for the first time and not searching anything about the place in the prior, Don revealed that the Lisheen House was a historic museum in the past and had many antique elements from the Egypt. He then also said that he is experiencing another energy apart from Becky’s. This was a ginn’s energy and it seems to be angry. Unknowingly, Don told them the exact history of the place where a King use to live who had many historic artifacts of Egypt with him.
After they returned from Ireland, Becky told Don that he would be going to Seattle in next 18 months so Don predicted the same to Steve in the prior. 18 months later, Steve Mera received a call from Keith Linder in Bothell, which is close to Seattle, that he need help with some paranormal activity happening in his house for years. They finally decide to go there after Becky says Yes to them.
The episode ends with giving more and more evidences that paranormal activities and spirit are real and also that there are rare people in the world who could communicated with these spirits but still things are hard to believe as this is all shown from Don’s POV and moreover no back history of anyone named Becky with those details existed.
